Gary M. Gabry

Gary practices in the areas of criminal defense, parole hearings, appeals, civil lititigation and family law. He is licensed to practice in all federal and state courts in Michigan. He has represented clients in hundreds of jury trials.

Gary served for two terms as the elected prosecutor for Ionia County. Following this he was appointed by the Governor to reorganize and chair the Michigan Parole Board. Gary is an expert in the sentencing process and the operation of the parole process.

He has been elected President of the Michigan Prosecutors Association and is a Chair-elect of the Criminal Law Section of the Michigan State Bar. He has lectured to a plethora of audiences including attorney groups and the Michigan Judicial Conference. His primary lecture topics include criminal procedure, sentencing and parole, trial techniques, and strategies and defenses.

First and foremost, Gary is a trial attorney with remarkable success. He has investigated and tried complex matters for over twenty years.

A gradguate of Kalamazoo Hackett High School, Gary went on to earn his Bachelors at the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate (Doctor of Law) from the Detroit College of Law.

Gary has been married to his wife, Gail, for the past thirty years and they have two grown children, Amanda and Andrew.

The police want to talk to me about a crime, do I need an attorney?

My son is in prison and up for a parole hearing, what can I do to help him get home?
