You should refuse and immediately contact an attorney to ensure that your rights are protected. In Michigan, the results of a polygraph examination are not admissible in a court of law. Even if you pass, you cannot show the results to a jury.

Police in Michigan offer polygraph examinations to citizens for three reasons: 1. Interrogation. 2. Interrogation. 3. Interrogation. Remember, anything you say during a polygraph examination can and will be used against you in a court of law. The results of the polygraph are not admissible. Statements made by you during the polygraph are admissible.
